100% Tea Tree Oil by Spring Valley 2floz $8.00
I have scene and heard a few people talking about Tea Tree Oil for there breakouts. I am always looking for something to help my skin out. I have been an avid Pro Activ user for almost 2 years now, it doesn't stop the small breakouts but it completely stopped cystic acne. Pro Activ also dries out my skin so bad that I look like I may have had a few chemical peels.
So on Sunday I bought this Tea Tree Oil from Wal-Mart for $8.00 and when I got home I took off my makeup and put some on a cotton square and put it all over my face. Before I went to bed I took a q-tip and put it on just my breakouts. I didn't notice any difference when I woke up, but hey it didn't promise miracles. Today is Tuesday and the redness in on my skin that was left by Pro Activ is gone. I don't have any new breakouts and the ones I did have are completely dried out. So I am going to give it more time it's obviously too soon to tell anything for sure. Just be warned that your loved ones may ask you to sleep outdoors it does have a strong aroma. My husband asked me if I had bathed in Vapor Rub, that's always a sexy scent heh.
Here are some of the benefits that Tea Tree Oil claims to have...
Tea Tree Oil has wonderful properties that makes it a popular natural agent for curing all three types of infectious organisms: fungus, bacteria, and virus. More importantly, it is known to effectively fight a number of infections that are resistant to some antibiotics. Therefore, Tea Tree Oil is an excellent natural remedy for hundreds of bacterial and fungal skin ailments such as acne, abscess, oily skin, blisters, sun burns, athlete's foot, warts, herpes, insect bites, rashes, dandruff and other minor wounds and irritations.
If you have sensitive skin they suggest you dilute it first, I have acne prone/combination skin and haven't had to dilute it as of yet. Let me know what you think!
