Color Tattoo Pure Pigments in Black Mystery, Improper Copper, and Potent Purple $5.99 each
Black Mystery Pigment
Dry and Wet
Dry, Wet and over a Maybelline smokey liner as a base!
This pigment is beautiful however it is glitter city. As you can tell from the swatches it will get all over you as soon as you peel back the seal. However, with a sticky base and patting the pigment onto your eye in small sections you can get a beautiful look. This is one that was just as beautiful dry as it was wet or over a black base.
I used Improper Copper Pigment over Pomegranate Punk Color Tattoo
I know you are thinking why? My first thought was I wanted to only use Maybelline products for this review so if you are brand loyal or sticking to the buy one get 1 sales you can pick these up in sets. I did wear this look together and loved it, tell me what you think! If you have a copper cream base that works too but I thought this worked well to change up the color!
Pure Pigment in Potent Purple and Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple
Dry, Wet and over base
I bought this thinking it would be my favorite, but I am not impressed by it on its own. Wet it's a little better but over the base it's a nice color but still not that smokey dark purple I was hoping for when I bought it. If you like lighter shades and don't mind having to wet the pigment or put it over a base then try it out. This isn't a "bad" pigment it's just weak on its own as far as color payoff.
My WalGreens just got these in and they are part of the Buy 1 get 1 50% off sale. So I didn't spend too much and I will have a few dupes and comparisons from other brands. These do not compare to the Loreal Hip Pigments that were out a few years ago, those were great! Have you tried any of these? What shades should I try next?
If you are looking for affordable and amazing pigments grab NYX pigments they are great!
