NYC Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup

$2.99 at your local Target or wherever NYC is sold!

I was at Target in the makeup aisle (GASP!) and saw this foundation with claims of 12 hours staying power. I also saw it was on sale for $2.45 and a few of the NYC products had .50 off coupons so this was $2. So no matter how bad it was it isn't like when I spend $40 on a foundation to never be used again.

The good:
It actually covers really well, I didn't have to use a concealer except that I always do. It covered any dark spots that I wanted. It also stayed for a full day of being out shopping, going to dinner, and out to the movies. It wasn't a hot day, but it was around the 60's so it held up pretty well. When I went to the bathroom at the movies under those bright lights, I didn't notice any wear or spots where it had worn off.

The not so good:
They only have 6 shades and they are all too dark for me. I got the lightest shade they had, and it will be okay when I get my tan but for now it is just a tad too dark. I noticed it immediately when I put it on so I just  blended really well, used a little extra concealer and bronzer heh. I also wish this was in a squeeze tube or had a pump because it is awful to get out. I wasted a lot because it came out in a clump, and it would be more user friendly if they changed the packaging. ELF's foundation is $6 and it has a pump so even cheaper brands can do the pump.

I would say this is a good foundation to try if you can fit into that range of shades. Plus for the price you can buy 2 and mix if they are too light for you. It is a full coverage so don't get this if you are wanting something light for the summer. It is a good foundation which is weird because I have a love hate relationship with drugstore foundations.

Have you tried this? If you do let me know what you think!

*I stole 2 dollars from my husbands piggy bank to buy this product myself :)
